Chaplain's Program- Occasionally member's of the Twin Lakes Police Department are called into situations where they may need spiritual assistance in dealing with a situation. For this reason, clergy from the Twin Lakes area have joined forces with the Twin Lakes Police Department to provide a Chaplain Program.
These Police Chaplains offer spiritual guidance and assistance to people who find themselves
in a crisis situation. They also serve as a link of communications between the citizens and their own spiritual advisors.
The Police Chaplain is an aid to the police officers and the citizens of Twin Lakes through a filed service ministry that provides spiritual guidance, counseling and comfort in times of crisis. This includes putting people in contact with the appropriate agencies to assist them.
The Police Chaplain Program is made up of clergy representing religious faiths in our community. Each Chaplain is available 24/7, with their time completely donated.
Citizens may request counsel with a Police Chaplain by calling the Police Department at
(262) 877-9056. A Police Chaplain regularly provides assistance in areas of:
* family disturbances
* lonely and despondent persons
* alcohol and drug abuse problems
* suicide attempts
* death notifications
* Pastoral care and counseling for police officers and their families
* counsel with injured persons and family
There is no charge for any of the services of the Police Chaplain. They are offered as a public service by the Police Chaplains themselves and the Twin Lakes Police Department.

Honor Guard- The Twin Lakes Police Honor Guard Unit is made up of four officers who participate in parades, police funerals, flag raising ceremonies and memorials. The Honor Guard Officers wear a special "Class A" uniform when representing the Village of Twin Lakes at such events. In 2008, Officer Joseph Balog was trained by the Washington D.C. Honor Guard Unit, who in turn trained the other members of his Unit. It is our intention to assist all officers and their families during their time of emotional duress from the loss or debilitating injury of their loved one.

National Night Out: In August of each year, National Night Out is a nation-wide event that promotes cooperation between the community and it's Public Safety Officers, in an effort to draw attention to crime and fire prevention and promote a unified effort to eliminate crime problems and fire safety. Each community that participates in the National Night Out event has a variety of promotions or special events that the community is invited to attend.
Events are being planned for the Twin Lakes community and will be announced in the near future.

Shop with a Hero: Each December the Twin Lakes Police Department, Twin Lakes Fire Department and EMS and the Randall Fire Department and EMS host it's annual Shop with a Hero event. 30 children from Randall School and Lakewood School are picked by their respective school officials and teachers. These children are recognized by each school in various catagories and whom are in need of a little extra attention during the holiday season. Each child is paired up with a Hero and is given a gift card to use on their own holiday shopping spree, during which they shop for themselves and their families. This annual event occurs at the Wal-Mart in Lake Geneva and includes numerous volunteers from the community in Twin Lakes volunteering their time to help wrap the presents.

Crimestoppers: This program provides a reward system to citizens that report information about criminal activities. If a citizen has information about a crime and would like to provide information anonymously, call CRIMESTOPPERS of Kenosha County at 262-656-7333. The caller may be eligible for a reward.

Police Department Tours: Twin Lakes Police Department will gladly host a tour of the department and its equipment for scouts , pre-schools, classes, and other interested folks. To arrange a tour please call Lieutenant Dennis Linn at 262-877-9056. Lieutenant Linn will ask about the size of the group and find a time that works for you and us. If Lieutenant Linn is out of the office, please leave your name and number and he will return your call.

Public Auction: The Twin Lakes Police Department no longer holds annual public auctions. We have teamed up with EBay to auction off our surplus inventory authorized by the Village of Twin Lakes Village Board. Residence Security Survey: Any Twin Lakes resident, 60 years or older, who owns a home in Twin lakes, can have the police department conduct a security survey on their home. All recommendations to make the house more secure will be presented to the home owner and all approved recommendations will be done by the police department at no cost to the home owner.
